missing. We also provide unbreakable flexible dentures at our setup.

Prosthodontics Treatments.

Also known as dental prosthetic or prosthetic dentistry. It mainly focuses on the prosthesis part.

Treatment modalities involved are:

1. Complete Dentures

2. Removable Partial dentures

3. Crowns

4. Bridges

5. Implant supported overdentures

6. Veneers

1. Complete Dentures

These are the artificial teeth sets given when all your natural teeth are lost and needs to get

replaced. Dentures are made by taking the impressions of the upper and the lower teeth bearing

areas. It requires 3-4 sittings for the dentures to be made. There are ‘flexible dentures’ available

nowadays which are unbreakable as they are made up of flexible material. They have a more

comfortable fit than ordinary acrylic dentures. And moreover the nylon base in flexible dentures

are highly unlikely to trigger allergies.

2. Removable Partial dentures

Removable Partial dentures are made to replace ‘few’ missing teeth in the mouth. As the name

suggests they are removable i.e they can be removed by the patients

3. Crowns.

A crown or a dental cap is made to encircle a tooth entirely. A crown may be needed when a

large cavity threatens the health of a tooth. Mostly after the Root canal treatments, crown is

advised to give more strength to the tooth to avoid its fracture. The caps are bonded to the tooth

by dental cements. Many a times, crowns are given to improve the appearance of the tooth and

to halt deterioration.

4. Bridges

A bridge is a fixed dental prosthesis used to replace one or more missing teeth. It replaces the

missing teeth by taking support from the adjacent teeth or the implants. Bridges are mostly

completed in 2 sittings. One for the impressions and then next for the cementation of the bridge.

The bridges are fixed with the help of dental cements. It restores the tooth back to its normal

function, requires no periodic removal for cleaning and are aesthetically pleasing.

In Our Clinic, we use all the latest materials and technologies for our patients.

5. Implant supported Over dentures

These are the dentures which are fixed on the implants. The patient won’t be able to remove it on

their own. They are fixed on the implants with the help of cements. Generally upper denture

requires 4 implants and the lower one requires 2 implants to fix the dentures on them. However

the number of implants depends on person to person and the amount of bone available.

6. Dental Veneers

Dental veneer is a layer of material placed over the tooth. These are generally done in front teeth to fill the gaps present between the teeth or to increase the length of the teeth. It is done in discoloured or defected teeth to make it more aesthetically pleasing. In many cases, minimal to no tooth preparation is done when using porcelain veneers.
